About Diploma in Broadcast Journalism
Broadcast journalism is concerned with finding and presenting information to the general public via radio, TV, or online broadcast. It is also called broadcast media. Generally, the different types of broadcast media appeal to different audiences and fulfill different roles in informing individuals about the news.
This Broadcast Journalism course covers all aspects of finding and presenting meaningful information through broadcast media (TV, radio, online channels, and others electronic devices). By the end of the course, a student will be able to find meaningful news, operate cameras and studio equipment, and be able to read news.
Broadcast journalism has a history that spans more than a hundred years. It has captured some of the greatest moments in history.
The radio uses voice and sounds to convey the story, while television uses both sound and visuals (still as well as moving) to relay the top stories to the public.
Because broadcast journalism uses an entirely different medium (when compared to print journalism), it also has different techniques for acquiring and displaying information.
In this Broadcast Journalism program, students will learn the different media ethics and rules promulgated by media regulators and federations to govern the practice of broadcast journalism.
Apart from the normal class sessions, Broadcast Journalism students undergo thorough practical training which involves all activities of the media ranging from pre-production, production and post-production activities.
