Map reproduction is the printing of a map or the electronic duplication of a map in a digital format.

Presently, cartographers have a number of reproduction technologies from which to choose, including offset printing (lithography), plotters, large-format printers, desktop printers and electronic media. Process selection depends on the intended use of the map.

Printer mapping is the process by which a user or admin associates a client computer with a network printer to give that client print capabilities. As a term, printer (or print) mapping tends to be used interchangeably with printer installation.

Generally understood as the methods for obtaining duplicate print copies from a original picture, map or drawing . physical printing of a map using inks on paper or the electronic duplication of a map in digital form.

Surveying and mapping technicians collect data and make maps of the Earth's surface. Surveying technicians visit sites to take measurements of the land. Mapping technicians use geographic data to create maps. They both assist surveyors, and cartographers and photogrammetrists.
