This Baking and Pastry program is designed to offer hands-on exposure and enable the learner to gain knowledge and skills in all the specialized aspects of baking & patisserie. Through hands-on training, students will study traditional and contemporary baking methods, the basics of pastry, cake decorating, and contemporary dessert plating. Through classroom lectures, students learn baking theory, nutrition, trade calculations, sanitation, food safety, and business concepts to support skills used in the daily operation of a bakery.
The learning experience equips one with the competency in fundamentals of baking & pastry making as well as management modules to equip one with skills to run or own a pastry-based kitchen section, outlet, or business.
This baking and pastry program is aimed at working professionals in the food and beverage industry, fresh students, and anyone who wishes to upgrade their skills and knowledge in pastry and bakery and obtain an industry-recognized certification.
